Please use the form below to submit the list for Required Reading and Audio-Visual material for your course. A Students’ booklist of Required Reading materials will be generated after the due date.
Required Reading are texts that enrolled students are expected to read in full. Faculty can request for copies of Required Reading in the form of physical books or ebooks. (read: guidelines).
Audio-visual materials (for library purchase) – any films or supporting materials required for the teaching of the course.
Should you require other books (eg. Supplementary books) for reference, please submit your request to Yale-NUS College Library here. You can borrow the books when they are available on at the Library.
Required Reading Materials (Guidelines)
The Dean of Faculty’s office will provide one copy of all Required Reading to each instructor, provided that the instructor has not previously received a copy of the same text.
Course Facilitators for the Common Curriculum, when placing these Required Reading copies orders on behalf of their teaching group, should indicate the instructors’ names under “remarks”.

Library Course Reserves
Course Reserves are course-related materials made available either in print or electronically through Yale-NUS Library.
- Print Reserve- RBR (Reserved Books and Reading Collection)
The Library will acquire the Required Readings and Audio Visual (AV) materials for the RBR Collection. These are texts that are used in modules and are kept behind the Service Desk at the Library. Please refer to the FAQs for further information.
- Electronic Reserve- E-Reserve
These are electronic materials such as journal articles, book chapters and other materials that are scanned and made available through Canvas (Learning Management System). To submit an E-Reserve reading list for your module, please submit this form to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please refer to the FAQs for further information.
